Hello!

  Welcome at last to my web page! and welcome of course to my world (well, a little bit of it anyway!). While I guess it's really only a peek, I hope you find something that interests you and even perhaps have a laugh or two... sit down,.. get yourself a cuppa and have a flick through my scrapbook!

I'm not quite sure how you got here - although I am truly glad you came! - and I'm not quite sure what you were looking for, but stick around as there is lots of good stuff to see. I should confess right up front I never set out to be a singer. I was never a child performer ... in fact all my life I've been painfully shy. At school my greatest dread was being picked for the debating team or the spontaneous "3 minute" speech (a favourite of my highschool english teacher, Mr Cliff!). Quite frankly it terrified me more than anyone will ever know. So how did I go from then to now you ask? It was no easy road and if you'd like to know a little bit more about that stuff then perhaps you should firstly go to my Up Close & Personal page ... if not then don't fret as there is still lots more to see.

I've been singing for over 15 years - mostly in a band format, for approximately 5 years as a full time professional. I am very lucky to have been given such an opportunity, as so many out there don't and for that reason I do not treat it lightly. Being an independent artist is no easy task. We have to do all our own planning, promotion, publicity and bookings. We are our own Managers, booking agents, promotions officers, publicists, Musical Directors & tea ladys! ... but that doesn't scare us. Personally, following a number of Small Business courses and over 10 years practical experience as a Personnel officer I decided that I was as prepared as I was ever going to be and it was time to give the Music industry a serious go. Here I am many years later, still going - although some sort of clerical assistance wouldn't go astray at times!

If however you are a media person, you may prefer to go straight to the Media section as this section will give you a full bio and other details of achievements, such as Album & Live performance reviews, references and even a downloadable "Lazyperson's article for the local paper" - to use to advertise when we come to your town. Perhaps instead you'd rather listen to some of my music? Just go straight to the Albums section, listen to some MP3s and read all about my debut solo album "Labour of Love", the duet album with singer songwriter Pat Drummond, "Six Days in December", my collaborative Bluegrass Album with Martin Louis (& Sydney Bluegrass band "Acoustic Shock") and my second solo country Album "Second Wind". Of course, you can even buy a copy if you'd like ... and yes! I DO take Credit Cards (Secure ordering system available).
