Karen Lynne Teams With Acoustic Shock

The National Folk Festival was indeed a great chance to showcase the new sound of "Karen Lynne & Acoustic Shock"- and shock it did - quite a few people! It was however the pleasantest of surprises though. Yes, this new line-up is taking the Bluegrass scene in Australia by storm and has put the pressure on for us to put out a Bluegrass CD - which we are evaluating now.

Acoustic Shock have long been known for their instrumental prowess and brilliant vocal harmonies but my vocal addition has been welcomed and praised from all quarters it seems. My material adds the flavours of the likes of Alison Krauss, Clair Lynch and Emmy Lou Harris and provides a dynamic contemporary aspect to the boys' previously strictly traditional sound,...what can I say - all those people can't be wrong! - it works!
